The House

Guests and up to 2 Retreat Leaders stay in the Main House in one of our private rooms. Bath tub, hot shower and bathroom is in your room. Read or relax in the living room, enjoy the view from the screened in, wrap-around porch, or enjoy quiet space in your room.

Hickory hall

The bunk room contains 4 private single rooms - fully furnished with twin beds, cozy rugs and plush bedding. It is connected to the main house, and hot showers and restrooms are indoors, just down the hallway. You will also have full access to the main house.

glamping tents

Experience our extraordinary canvas tents and dive into the beauty of wilderness living. Our framed, canvas tents are completely outfitted with cedar floors, cozy rugs, beds with warm, plush bedding, cast-iron stoves for fires on cool nights, lanterns and front porch seating. Hot showers and restrooms are just a few steps away. Tent camps have a front deck where you can read, relax or visit with your neighbors and enjoy the trees and the infinitely starry sky.

Sauna

The 7-person, traditional steam cedar sauna is available with any length of stay at The Rising Sun. Views of the bluff can be seen from the window in the sauna, and you are welcome to add a cold plunge to the sauna experience.
